Los Frailes is a virgin beach located in Machalilla National Park. It is a beach of calm waters ideal for family with children and we do not see the big waves that the Pacific usually offer.
The park includes two beaches, the first is a beach where we are allowed to bathe and enjoy with family or friends. It is located in a wide bay, where we have the same park like atmosphere at our backs with all its so particular vegetation.
The second we are not allowed to put to sea because it is turtle conservation area. This beach has an island sitting in front a few meters (pictured above). No doubt an ideal place for great photos and admire how wonderful nature is incredible scenery.
In the park we can see lagartigas of different size and color, white corals and different birds.
Within the area there is also a gazebo where you can see the beaches that make up the park and the park itself. A missed and climb to the top of the lookout!
Remember that it is important not to take items from the beach and the idea is to preserve it for future generations. This is a national park in Ecuador
